Bookings and deposit
You can book online or on WhatsApp with one of our sales advisors. All prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN).
A deposit of $500 MXN per passenger is paid when booking, which holds your place in the balloon. Each flight is planned the night before around the confirmed passengers. The balance is paid at reception on the day of your flight.
Payment methods
At reception we accept cash, bank transfers and debit or credit cards. Card payments carry an additional 5% terminal fee.
When booking, you can also pay by PayPal, with an additional 6.5% fee. We accept US dollars at a fixed rate of $16 MXN per dollar.
Weigh-in and weight surcharge
Every passenger is weighed at reception before flying. This is required: the pilot places passengers in the basket by weight to keep the balloon balanced.
From 100 kg, a charge of $35 MXN applies for each additional kilo. If you weigh more than 200 kg, please check with us before booking.
Children
Children pay the full fare, since they take up their own place in the basket, the transport and at breakfast. The minimum age to fly is 4; younger children don't board the balloon, but they can enjoy the rest of the experience.
Changes, cancellations and no-shows
You can change the date of your flight free of charge if you let us know on WhatsApp at least 48 hours in advance. The new date must fall within the following three months.
Cancellations made between 48 and 12 hours before the flight are charged 30% of the total. With less than 12 hours' notice, the deposit is non-refundable.
On flight day, only passengers who fly pay. The deposit of a passenger who doesn't show up is non-refundable, since their seat was set aside in the flight plan.
Weather and operational safety
The decision to fly is made each morning by the pilot and our operations team, always putting safety first. If other companies decide to fly and we do not, our safety judgment prevails.
If wind, rain, a thunderstorm or fog make flying unsafe, we reschedule your flight at no cost and your deposit carries over to the new date.
The flight lasts about 45 minutes. The route and landing spot depend on the wind and the safe areas available, at the pilot's discretion.
Health restrictions
For safety reasons, pregnant women, people with heart conditions or recent surgery, people with spinal problems, wheelchair users and anyone under the influence of alcohol or other substances cannot fly.
Belongings
Only your phone, a camera and small items may be taken on board. Backpacks and bags of any size are not allowed, nor are weapons of any kind. Free lockers are available for everything else.
Photography and video
During the experience, our photographers and drones may capture photos and video. By taking part, you authorize Magic Balloons to use these images for promotional purposes, always respecting your dignity and privacy.
Photos and videos are sold separately and are not part of the flight packages.
Privacy
We collect the information needed to operate your flight safely, such as your name, phone number, email, age and weight. We use it to manage your booking, plan the flight and comply with applicable regulations.
We do not share your information with third parties, except when required by law. You can ask us to delete it by messaging us on WhatsApp.
